"Aunt Sally" Lord alone knows why it's called that, or how it came to be invented, but there's this game. One hurls large sticks [caught in midair in both photos] at a "doll" sitting on a rather unstable support; knocking it off scores a point for your team. Sort of caveman slow-pitch darts. Fairport & Co. generally handily defeat the Festival Tours scratch teams, but, as in all sports, miracles do happen. |
